It seems pickup truck beds are getting taller and taller, making it harder to get into the bed. Add to that oversize tires and lift kits, and you'll need a springboard just to get up to the bed! Finally, a solution - the AMP Research BedStep, an ingenious bumper-mounted step that gives you easy access to the bed, no matter how tall.

Step right up into your bed with the AMP Research BedStep. All it takes is a little tap of the foot to deploy the step. When you're done, flip it back up. The BedStep Truck Bed Step stows up under the bumper and is nearly invisible when not in use. It utilizes precision bearing pins and rigid cast aluminum hinges for smooth operation, strong support, and a long life of maintenance-free service.

AMP Research designs the BedStep for flawless performance in any conditions. The whole step is anodized black and powder-coated with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for superior corrosion protection. Its glass-reinforced non-slip resin step pad offers a safe stepping surface even in the face of mud, rain, and snow. Best yet, it bolts on to your vehicle at existing mounting holes on your truck's bumper and frame in under 10 minutes. No drilling, no modifications.

Getting into and out of your truck bed shouldn't be a chore - bolt on an AMP Research BedStep for handy bed access. Backed with a 3-Year, 36,000-Mile Warranty.

Not the best directions overall. Just pics to follow. No printed wording to follow. So took me a little longer to figure out but I got it. Also, one bolt placement that didn't work for the bracket bolt. Had a hole in the frame but they didn't supply the right bolt. Actually, the hole in the bracket probably wouldn't have worked compared to the hole in the frame. My location on the frame had a nut welded on the frame. I found a bolt that would go through the frame and the Bracket. Got it to work.

Kit arrived with 2 incorrect bolts that did not fit the designated hole. Had to re-tap the holes and purchase new bolts.

I can't aptly describe how pleased I am with the BedStep I just bought for my new F250. I'd never owned a pickup truck before, and after selecting the F250 to tow our 23 foot travel trailer I quickly discovered that I couldn't step up into the bed with the tailgate down unless I climbed onto one of the rear tires and climbed over the side of the truck bed. For a 60 year old guy this was a bit stressful, so I did some "research" to see what options were available to alleviate the problem. I found this BedStep, and given my experience with military-grade marine hardware and communication systems, I thought that it might be suitable for my needs. I couldn't have been more pleased when I opened the box, and immediately commenced installation. The instructions were very helpful, but the latest version for my truck still omitted the fact that you have to push the two rear bolts to the back into the bumper frame to allow the step bracket to be properly positioned. Once I discovered this, I was able to install the step brackets satisfactorily. I subsequently discovered that a "wobble" extension was indeed required since the opening in the bracket assembly didn't allow a standard socket extension to line up sufficiently with the ratchet. I bought a 4" long 1/2" wobble extension from a local store, and this enabled me to fully torque all three nuts for the step mounting bracket assembly. The step works perfectly, and easily extends and re-stows. Overall, despite how picky I am with any mechanical or electronic consumer device, I couldn't be happier with how well this step is designed, manufactured, and functions.

It went on as easy as the instructions show. The only difficult part was removing a bracket because one of the bolts was hard to get to. Other than that it was very simple.

Vert easy to install but the torquing of the unit to the truck was hard to do lying on your back. Best if you can have your car/truck up in the air a bit for more ease of securing the necessary torquing of the attaching bolts.
