The AMP Research PowerStep is a huge step forward in running board convenience. Its fully-automated design extends out and down when you open your door, and retracts in when you close it. Amp Power Steps give you an easy, handy stepping surface without sacrificing your ground clearance or vehicle's clean lines.

The AMP Power Step provides a super wide stepping area that's more natural and safe than standard nerf bars or running boards, plus they're made from tough aluminum for a 600 pound carrying capacity. The side steps and motors have been tested in every environment and temperature from 200 degrees F to 40 below zero for proven tough performance. Also available on select models, is the "Plug and Play" feature, which allows you to power your running boards through your vehicle's OBD-II port. This means no wire splicing, no removal of door panels, and since it features a pass-thru harness, you'll still retain access to your OBD-II port.

Your AMP Research PowerStep Running Boards are backed with a 5-Year/60K Mile Warranty.

Love these Running Boards. The only thing I am going to change is install LED strip lights instead of the 4 LED lights that come with the boards. I don`t like all the extra wiring to run to the back lights.

Great product. Install was fairly easy but instructions could be updated to tell you to install the motor first as it is nearly impossible to tighten one bolt if the legs are mounted first onto the frame. Also the wiring diagram manual with product wasn’t up to date on wiring to the factory Jeep Door harness. I had to go online and found an updated manual that told me what color the connectors were in the chart but was still not able to find the wire color on vehicle per instructions to get the back Doris to operate the steps. I only was able to find the wires to make the front doors work. My model is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL 4 door. Also the light wire at drivers side front door was short - all other wires were fine. I had to make a short cable to extend to reach the light wires from the amp harness.

We had the Chevy dealer install them, they said it was a 5 hour job but we are so satisfied with the running boards, they are a dream come true to us old folks.

I bought these rail boards as I really wanted electric because they wouldn’t get hung up on trees, rocks, etc. when outlanding or 4-wheeling. They were installed yesterday at an auto shop and I was not given a time as to how long it took them to install but they are awesome. The look very natural on the truck meaning they blend in so well you almost cannot tell they’re on there.

Excellent product, instructions were easy to follow, also watched the online video prior to installing. Took about 3 and a half hours but I did it by myself and I'm 65 and weigh 135lbs. Would suggest that the primary power wire be 6 inches longer as I had to lengthen mine to get the wire loom to lay like I wanted.

I installed the AMP research power boards on my new RAM 2500. They function perfectly, they fold up & away for a non-existence look. They deploy instantly, solid and secure, & retract quickly. Every part fit perfectly. The instructions suggest 3-5 hrs install time, maybe if you had previously installed a set. I probably had about 8 hrs invested in my installation. But ya gotta figure that I will be 73 y/o in 2 months, worked in my drive-way, in Oklahoma, on a cold January. Get you a set, install in phases. 1.install frame reinforcement brackets, 2 courtesy lights, 3.rough in the wiring, 4. hang step hardware & the steps. Connect the wiring, secure with zip ties, re-install the fuse CAUTION: The steps may move when power is applied!! Function test & check your work.

Very good quality steps. Very sturdy. Makes it a lot easier to enter and exit the truck. Should have installed these a long time ago.
