The BAK Revolver X2 tonneau cover is the new top dog in the world of hardtop rolling tonneaus. This ultra-secure cover is the best of both worlds: top-shelf protection while, at the same time, easy to operate. In fact, the cover rolls and unrolls so easily that it can be operated with one hand. Unlike other hard cover options, you have access to every inch of your truck bed with the X2.

The cover is equipped with rotational locking rails that automatically engage and secure your cover while providing a low-profile look that'll add curb appeal to your truck. Hauling something larger - say, a recliner - and need to drive with the cover opened? No problem. The Revolver X2 locks along the bed so you can drive with it open if need be. The cover itself is made from heavy-duty aluminum that shrugs off hail and other impacts.

Very pleased with the product with two minor exceptions… one of the knobs to secure the cover in front is bound and will not tighten and one of the plastic trim pieces on the back broke off during installation… all in all a clever design though.

I love the look of the cover and how it rolls. I am able to roll it back with on hand. What I don’t like is water gets in. I was hoping it would be water proof.

It doesn’t exactly fit a 6ft bed. The clamps closest to the tailgate are only partially on the rail on either side because the track that they slide into isn’t long enough. Also the track that the clamps slide into was bent on one side when I opened the package. After one rainy day test there is probably a total 4 cups of water in my bed. Certainly not water tight like I expected. It does look nice and roll back/forth smoothly. I would not spend the money due to the other issues though.

I looked at the types of covers and decided for me the rolling style makes most sense. The full use of my bed is available whether the cover is in place or rolled up. The BAK Revolver X2 is what I expected. The install went well and I like the bracket design so the Tundra's rails could be replaced and used. My only issue is one of the two the copper crimps for the release wire popped free immediately after installation. I managed to disassemble enough of the locking mechanism to figure out what happened and then to reinsert the wire and (hopefully) re-crimp the fitting so it will hold with regular use. Time will tell on this. First week and all is well. This is why my quality rating is only 4/5 stars.
