I really had high hopes for this BakFlip G2 cover, and it may still grow on me, but I am unimpressed with its execution. For starters, the rails for my 8' bed are two pieces and have thin wall sections. By sighting down the length of the rail (with the clamps properly torqued) you can see exactly where the mounting clamps are as evidenced by the deformations in the rail. On top of that the gasket material, which presses against the side of the bed rail, is very thin, and I wonder how it's supposed to seal out water when the rail isn't stiff enough to press tightly against the bed rail between the clamps. I have a feeling that after the first good rain, I'll be taking it off to add thicker weather stripping and/or adding clamps. I also don't have a lot of confidence that any of the plastic clips will hold-up for very long as they also have thin wall sections and aren't very robust. I would have been willing to spend a few hundred dollars more for better made stuff, but I guess meeting certain price points is more important than quality these days.

The unit is great...it just doesn't fit a 2021 F-250 SD very well. The bed is 8' 2", and the unit would fit 8' tight, 8'1" about right, but is just barely barely long enough to reach to tailgate even when the front is only catching about half the weather stripping piece with it mounted as far back as possible on the bed rail.

They were no instructions in the box. You Tube was useless. Finally had to call customer service. The guy was helpful but had to email the instructions. They were pretty straightforward but still had to read between the lines on a couple of things. It’s certainly NOT waterproof and I’m positive I have it installed correctly. A little disappointed for what I had to pay.

Ended up where I started over 20 years ago. I've tried a lot of different covers over the years from cheap to expensive, but I prefer this one for simplicity, durability, security, and value.

The spout where the drain hose connects was broken off in the box. Had to Home Depot and modify. The pre drilled holes for the buckles were one size too small. Had to correct

This is my second Bak bed cover. The first was in as good a shape after 10 years as when it was purchased. Some nice additional features were added to the new cover which make it fit and operate better than 10 years ago.

Great product. Customer service not so much. They sent the wrong rails. Took 10 to get an RMA. I had to transport to UPS to return. Finally got the right cover and rails.
