The rail end arrived snapped off on the corner. We used epoxy to put it back together. We needed use of the cover immediately; waiting on a return and resend was not an option. The YouTube video is with a Ford; we have a Dodge… the fit is a bit different. The YT video does not show “tightening of the screws”... that was a mess. On the third attempt the rails were “in the right pace”. Then while placing the actual cover into place, my little finger got caught IN the mounting header and dislocated. After pulling it back into place…interject major cussing… we were finally able to have the cover installed. I am a field engineer and biochemist; so handy with tools and not exactly dimwitted—this is not as easy as Leer would like you to think. The Engineer who thought the Allen wrench is a good idea needs their screws adjusted. We now have it installed and will take for a test drive tomorrow. I am guessing it will go airborne at 65mph... more drama expected.

Overall looks and materials are very good only issue with the cover is a small blemish in the vinyl almost like a small burn. I put a dab of super glue on it, I hope it doesn’t get bigger. Shouldn’t have to deal with that but I do! Also the corners tend to curl up I’m hoping in time they will relax and lay down.

I have purchase Leer products in the past and hoped this cover would be of good quality. I am not disappointed, well worth the little extra cost. The clamps provided are designed much better than others I looked at. They do not protrude into the bead area and have no sharp edges. My son and I installed the cover in about an hour. One person could install this product, but two are better. The hardware fitting and latches are high quality and designed very well. The fit was perfect with lots of adjustment room available to tighten if the cover stretches a little over time. I would rate performance a 5 except I have only had the cover on the truck for a week. Fit is perfect and I would buy this cover again. One short coming; the installation instructions are adequate, but barely. We used a YouTube video showing the installation of this model that was great and really helped.
