Installing the actual hitch wasn't difficult. Removing the muffler was harder and more time consuming. If you need to install a wiring kit also, do that first, then the hitch, then muffler reinstall. The wiring is hard to route over the hitch if it is installed first. No maneuvering room. I would have given it a 5 star except the 2" receiver opening is a little big for the hitch ball mount (it may be a better fit is the ball mount is also made by CURT). It fits loosely and rattles when going down the road without load.

This is a Quality constructed trailer hitch at a reasonable price. Good quality welds, flawless powder coat, packed well for shipping. The hitch was custom made to fit my new 2023 Hyundai Tuscon. The Tucson had the mounting holes in the frame from the factory. The holes in the hitch lined up with these holes perfectly! Remove the plastic splash guard under the back bumper, slide the hitch between the muffler and the frame and bolt it in place with the provided hardware. No need to jack the car up, or remove the muffler clamp, there is plenty of room to maneuver. It would be best to have a helper to lift the hitch in place putting one bolt on each side to hold the hitch up. the rest of the install can be completed by one person. This is a Quality hitch at a good price point and is easy to install!!

My wonderful son installed this hitch for me. We watched a YouTube video for easy instructions and great methodology. The next time we install the same hitch on the same type vehicle it would probably take us about 45 minutes. Great quality and price and all bolts and parts were in the package.

Great hitch! However, I took away a star due to the installation instructions. You don't need to trim as much as it says from the heat shield and underbody panel. Also, there is no mention of the proximity sensor that controls the "no hands" lift gate operation. Since my 2020 Pacifica Limited didn't come with the factory hitch, it has one sensor directly above the hitch. I had to relocate it to one side to operate properly. The factory uses 2 sensors with the optional towing package. One on each side of the hitch.

Be aware, you must lower the muffler down in order to install this Hitch. Lowering it is not that bad. The problem is that the room is very tight in order to bypass the muffler. If they change the design of the Hitch of being in an diagonal angle to a 90 degree mount style you would not have the need of lowering the muffler. This is my 3rd Hitch install I have done in my cars.

The hitch arrived in good condition I chose to lower and get my spare tire out of the way gave me way more working room it took me about an hr because I don't have air tools and the four bolts, I need to remove off the truck was what slowed me down; I installed this myself and after interrupting the direction, I was good to go. If you got air tools and a helper, you might just do in 20 Mn Overall I say for myself it was easy to do.
