Hardest part was getting the screws back into the bumper panel.

Fit and finish were excellent. Installation was quick and non complicated. Make sure you have an extension bar for your socket to unscrew the existing bolts and to get them back on at the torque suggested.

I had to clean up my frame before installing or it would of only taken about 30 minutes. Great quality of material, defiantly heavy duty, if your looking for the best load capacity for a hitch this is the one you want.

Took us over an hour. Although it's not impossible to do by yourself, you should have someone help you hold it up while you install the bolts. We ran into two issues during installation. This applied to our product but may not apply to yours. So if you look at the receiver as a "U" shape, the open end towards the front of the vehicle was just a little too narrow to line up with the holes in the frame. This had to be spread apart with a farm jack and required us to take it down once to measure the distance between the holes in the frame and adjust it before putting it back up. Secondly we ran into a clearance issue between the OEM bumper receiver and the new receiver which required a couple millimeters of grinding. In theory if the Curt Hitch Receiver is in spec with the frame and you have all tools out and ready then this job is accomplishable with two individuals in under half an hour, no removal of spare tire or lifting of vehicle necessary.

It was easy for me to install by watching YouTube. It work for its purpose the only complained I have was for the instruction how to trim the bottom bumper the instruction said 4 inches horizontal and 4 1/2 inches vertical, I followed but when I installed the bumper it's too tight the 4 1/2 cut out is supposed to be 5 inches and that is perfect. I left it tight because I don't want to remove the bumper again. Also the hitch drop itself need to shorten out by 1/2 inch to make it flush to the bumper, now there is a gap of 1/2 inch between the bottom of bumper and the hitch.

Quite possibly the easiest hitch install I've ever done. I've installed quite a few too. On an Outback this one is the simplest. No holes to drill at all and no fish wires and bolts and nuts. No muffler removal. Taking the bumper cover off is a bit of a challenge but mostly when putting it back on. Remember where all the plastic fasteners go. And the plastic fasteners on the top from of the bumper cover inside the wheel well are tough if you don't know how they come out. Just push the dot in the center in and then pull the fastener out. To put it back in, remove the center section and install the outer first then push the center back in. It looks great too!!! I also didn't trim as much of the bumper cover as recommended and wound up still able to use the fastener that is right next to the hitch.

Great hitch but thin metal on the wagon I have. I think the washer should be five times wider. Hitch itself is great, but plan to use other larger washers to prevent the sheet metal from tearing on the vehicle itself.
