When Retrax started back in 1996, people were confused - truck bed covers weren't very popular at the time, so why devote so much time, money, and energy to making them? The truth was, the rest of the truck accessories industry was unable or unwilling to explore the complex aspects of developing, designing, and manufacturing retractable tonneau covers. The tech heads and engineers at Retrax set out to tackle these problems and provide their fellow pickup truck drivers with a superior retractable truck bed cover. Before long, the Retrax Retractable Tonneau Cover was born.

I installed this with my son, very easy using the directions. I love the sleek look with the flush mount with the top of the bed. It retracts easy and pulls out from the canister easy. It's light weight and I think it reduces road noise from the bed. Overall I love the look and feel of this cover.

Retrax One XR Tonneau Cover

This seems to be a very good product. The only issue I had is there are no instructions included. They sent a QR code which when scanned sends you to thier sales site and not the instructions. I was finally able to Google them to get a video. Be sure to pull the right video to match the hardware. The first video had me looking for screws that were not included in the kit I had. I finally found the correct one. Having the cover did increase my gas mileage.

It took about an hour to install. There are several youtube videos online to help with installation. In the beginning, I was simply trying to slide the rails into place on the canister, you have to "lift and slide". This is a well-built quality product it has been installed less than a week so I can't speak to longevity but it certainly appears it should hold up well. I didn't know until after the fact Auto Accessories Garage offers a military discount. I will certainly use them in the future.

I consider this an upgrade from my previous BAKFlip on Gen2 Raptor. Regarding Autoaccessories Garage: Fantastic communication. Immediate order confirmation and ability to communicate directly with customer service for questions about order. Very prompt and helpful replies. Product drop shipped and arrived without any damage during transit. Install instructions were very appropriate for my particular vehicle (21 Raptor). All necessary components included (zip ties, appropriately sized wiring). Uncomplicated installation with fantastic fit and finish. Cover seems very water-resistant and operates flawlessly. Time will tell how it operates with freezing conditions.
