    Do not buy this! Screws are too small and are supposed to be snugged up in the holes for the retainer clips of the rubber seal under the front edge of the hood. Not happening. 2 of the screws worked themselves out on the first drive. Could not be reinstalled. One hole was drilled off, the screw put too much stress on the hood protector pulling it into place, cracked it. Not repairable. There are other issues with it. This was the second Stampede product I bought, both of them a disaster. Never again.

    2 things wrong with this product, which is why I cannot recommend it to anyone: 1 - the instructions say to raise the hood bump stops by more than one turn. You can't even raise them a quarter turn, the hood won't close anymore, no matter how hard you try to slam it down. If you could raise them up that much, you'd have some awful looking fit hood to fenders. And you'd definitely have to remove some more plastic under the hood to raise the latch in order to be able to close the hood. 2 - the supplied fasteners and described fastening method WILL NOT work. The screws CANNOT be snugged up, let alone tightened, because they are too small in diameter. They pull right through the holes before being remotely snug. At this point I should have re boxed the whole thing and sent it back. I made the mistake of thinking a different set of holes and proper sized screws could fix this. I re drilled them, but made the holes in the bug shield a bit too small, which put stress on it and cracked it. Now I got nothing to show for my efforts. I can't send it back at this point. Live and learn!
