The MSD Tach/Fuel Adapter is required when using the magnetic pickup input (green and violet wires) to trigger an MSD Ignition in applications where certain tachometers do not function properly from the tach output terminal.
The PN 8920 corrects the operation of most voltage-triggered tachometers and should also be used on current-triggered tachometers that are connected in series with the ignition switch. Designed to ensure proper tachometer and fuel system signal operation when integrating MSD ignition controls.
