  • Side-mount design gives you bed access without sacrificing your hitch
  • Glass-reinforced, non-slip composite step pad provides safe footing, even when wet and snowy
  • Super stable stainless steel pivot pins
  • 300 lb. weight capacity
  • PTFE-coated (Polytetrafluoroethylene) aluminium alloy resists corrosion
  • Bolts on in under 10 minutes, using existing holes in your bumper/frame
  • Engineered, designed, and built in the USA

  • It seems pickup truck beds are getting taller and taller, making it harder to get into the bed. Add to that oversize tires and lift kits, and you'll need a springboard just to get up to the bed! Finally, a solution - the AMP Research BedStep, an ingenious bumper-mounted step that gives you easy access to the bed, no matter how tall.

Step right up into your bed with the AMP Research BedStep. All it takes is a little tap of the foot to deploy the step. When you're done, flip it back up. The BedStep Truck Bed Step stows up under the bumper and is nearly invisible when not in use. It utilizes precision bearing pins and rigid cast aluminum hinges for smooth operation, strong support, and a long life of maintenance-free service.

AMP Research designs the BedStep for flawless performance in any conditions. The whole step is anodized black and powder-coated with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for superior corrosion protection. Its glass-reinforced non-slip resin step pad offers a safe stepping surface even in the face of mud, rain, and snow. Best yet, it bolts on to your vehicle at existing mounting holes on your truck's bumper and frame in under 10 minutes. No drilling, no modifications.

Getting into and out of your truck bed shouldn't be a chore - bolt on an AMP Research BedStep for handy bed access. Backed with a 3-Year, 36,000-Mile Warranty.

This does not fit in a 2026 Tundra - which they advised did - halfway on before I realize the last bolt won’t work! Do not recommend

Install was fairly straightforward. I have the same step on a 13 year old ford F150. It operates like the day I installed it. I highly recommend this step if you have a problem stepping into the bed of your truck.

Just installed it a couple of days ago but happy with the quality, performance and look of it so far. I would have given it a perfect overall score if it wasn’t for the installation instructions. I did my homework before buying and it seemed like a pretty easy install but I received something different. I had to build the step before installing which was a little more difficult than I expected. Also, the package and instructions listed the wrong vehicle year for my truck but when I ordered it online this is what was recommended. The installation instructions were not very clear when it came to illustrations. And at one point it told me to use a 14mm socket but had to use a 15mm instead, which just caused a bit of confusion and second guessing.

Step looks great, but a little long so it is close to the ground. Works great if truck is lifted above stock.

Directions were not very clear. The first 3 pieces could have been put together before shipping. There is no way possible to use a ratchet or torque wrench for the bolts on the first few steps. Overall seems very sturdy but wondering why with an all heavy duty steel construction the step itself is plastic. The step itself doesn’t seem as sturdy as the rest of the arm. Time will tell. Now that it is on I like it a lot. Hopefully it holds up.

Amp gave retailers a part number for this back in May of 2022, they finally produced them 10 months later in March of 2023. During those ten months, I was repeatedly told it would go into production next month. Now that I have it, I would say it is well built and works well although to push it down you need to get really close to the paint, so I’m guessing over time that will lead to paint damage. The step when in the ‘up’ position is not parallel to the bumper and also doesn’t match any lines on the truck so in my opinion doesn’t look good.
