BAK Revolver X2 Tonneau Cover 39207

The quality of this cover is top notch. Assembly is easy. However, pay close attention to the yellow "shim guide" sheet enclosed with the instructions. I did not -- I followed the instruction booklet alone. This caused a quick 15-20 minute install into over an hour of frustration. After digging around online I ran across the "shin guide" problem that was fairly common. After removing the shims (peel off fairly easily) and re-installing for the 3rd or 4th time everything for like a glove. (Side note: you'll know you're having shim issues if your tailgate hits the cover railings.) I knocked off a star since the basic instructions and/or online video should include a reference to the shims. Bak's quick instructional video is not helpful in this regard. The quality is top notch, fit is sleek, and it is silent on the interstate. I would definitely purchase again and have already recommended the Revolver to a friend looking for a cover.

Installed two weeks now and it seems of good quality. Kept out a thunder storm, bed nice and dry. Similar to Retrax except rolls up and out instead of in and down. With the short 5 1/2' bed wanted all the box usable.

Bought for 2016 Ram. Cover installed in 75 min, would have been 45 but after instal initially complete I went to close tailgate and the plastic tailgate cap on the truck hit the rails of the cover. I used the extra weatherstripping that was meant for the front of the bed to shim up the ends of the rails. I plan on writing Bak and seeing if they will provide strips the length of the rails vs just ends so I can maintain waterproofing. Closed cover flexes more than I thought it would but seems strong enough, I am afraid to put anything close to the 400lb rating on it though and break it for sake of testing. Clips for open cover could be improved. They look like they will break if pulled too tight. Extremely happy with look and roll up and close functionality.

The Bakflip Revolver X2 is perfect for my needs. I can lock up my surfboards or skis in the back and not have to worry about getting them stolen. It's also easy to roll it open to move larger items such as furniture or building materials. If I really wanted to, I could take the entire assembly off in about 10 minutes and reinstall in about 15-20 minutes. The install is incredibly easy, especially after doing it once. The cover also has a very low-pro, clean look. I did a lot of research and am very pleased thus far. Auto Accessories Garage was a great source for the product, free shipping and arrived within 2 days.

Installation was pretty straight forward although I did have to remove the shims on the side rails to get it to fit perfect. The look and function is second to none. I would highly recommend this tonneau cover.
