Poor packaging unit got rough handling by shipping, box under rated for weight packed and packing materials insufficient. Ears were slightly bent inward requiring significant reallignment to make holes match frame. Received the hitch in record time. The next day, in fact. The directions were very easy to follow and I suggest following them as it will make the job easy. I have the good fortune of having a vehicle lift so working under the car was very easy. Having an extra set of hands is recommended since it would not be easy to hold everything in position during set up and marking of third hole. I tried using the existing access holes but there is a torsion bar mounting bolt that prevents pulling anything through the frame member into position, so make the third hole on both sides large enough for the washer and bolt to pass through. Put this on my 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport. Hitch bolt holes matched up perfectly with frame holes. Corrosion required a retap of frame holes. Two person job. One to hold hitch up, one to place and torque bolts.

Satified as I am with this product, it was a bit more complicated than led to believe. Space to attach the hitch to the vehicle is limited. Also, tight fit for the tools.

The hitch was made wrong by Reese, would not bolt up, the hole pattern was off by 1/2 "...1 call to Reese and they sent me a new hitch in 3 days and had fedx pick up the bad one...the rating is on the good one.
