This is my 3rd tailgate assist(3 trucks), great instructions, the tailgate strap gets caught on this one but it doesn’t affect the operation.

Simple install and Works great!!! 2021 Ford Ranger, a T50 and M6 bit, 15min and done, slows the drop of tailgate without adding any extra resistance on closing.

This damper is the best. It was so easy to install. Took me about 5 minutes. It’s quiet and now my 2021 Ranger tailgate doesn’t slam down anymore. Being a 63 yr old female, I did have to look at some YouTube videos to help. Thanks for a great product and fast shipping.

Great product and works great. Only issue I had was the bolts didn’t fit just right but I used the original ones and worked!

Very easy to install took about 15 minutes. Seems to work really well but it has only been installed 1 day, so far it does what it is designed for!!!

I installed the Dee Zee Tailgate assist strut on my 2021 Ford Ranger Crew Cab pickup. The installation was simple and in less than 30 minutes it was completed. No more of the tailgate crashing down. It's just a slow easy descent. I'm going to get one for my Dodge Ram 1500 in the near future. I can't believe that I didn't do this sooner!

It does what you think it does. Since the tailgate is so light, it does take a little longer than expected for the tailgate to fully lower.

The tailgate assist was super easy to install on my 2019 Ford Ranger and went on in less than 10 minutes. Make sure you have a T50 torx! Great communication on when item was shipping. Love it!

I received my E Z down tailgate assist very promptly (thanks), studied it briefly, and got out the tools. Within about 20 or 30 minutes had it installed on my truck. I was immediately impressed with the quality of all the hardware, and then the operation of the strut. It did exactly what had hoped and wanted. Lowers the tailgate nicely, and makes it very easy to raise and close (and it looks good!).

Issue I have is that nobody tells you that you need to go to the store to get a T50 bit to install. It doesn't come with the bit which I imagine is because they cant possibly account for every cars tool needed but it would be nice to know before opening the package and attempting an install that I need to head to Lowes first... once I got the bit install was fine.

Between the YouTube video I watched previously and the instructions it is a very easy install. Looks to be well made. I am used to having to lower tailgate by hand. After installing I notice I am still helping it.

Some concern in regard to groan noise the damper makes when lowering the tailgate. Might improve with multiple opening and closing. Like the simplified installation.
