    The protector fits perfectly and does what it is supposed to do. The top cap on tailgates now days are usually plastic and it is easy to damage them if you drag something out of the truck bed, this protector wraps around the edge. I have bought two of these over the last year and my main complaint is that DEE ZEE does an awful job of packaging the product for shipment. Both times the protectors arrived with the box crushed and torn open, the paper tape tears and the box seems rupture. There is NO padding of any kind inside the box so it slides around. Both protectors suffered damage with the corners being bent, one was pretty bad and I decided to straighten it out and live with it rather than hassle with shipping back. Great product, lousy box for shipping hence the 4 star rating. I sent pics and info to DEE ZEE to suggest they look into better shipping container... no response.

    Excellent tailgate protector. Protects from slippery surface in the snow. A must for contractors. Small shipping dents but I'm a sheet metal man!
