Coverking Silverguard Plus Car Cover

Nice cover, I would like to get one for my 2005 Mercedes SLK 350.

This is my second silver guard plus cover one for a C4 and one for a forth gen Trans Am. Both fit like a glove, they have a nice inner liner for the paint and shed most of the rain off. I have seen some wetness probably due to the seams? but not a big issue. They keep the inside of the car cool on hot sunny days. I have to use a bungee cord from the lock loop to loop to keep the cover tight at the center of the car as the wind will puff it up like a balloon which intern can blow dust up onto the car. Other than that they have been the best Michigan outdoor summer covers I have owned.

Only mishap was, upon rolling out the cover as per directions, it was inside out/upside down. I had to flip the whole thing over. Other than that, I really like it. Just put it on the other day so I don't know about performance yet. Grommet covers are great it appears to be a very nice cover. Yes I would buy another one.

Great product suitable for protecting the vehicle against harsh weather.

I am a very dedicated user of car covers on my vehicles, and this one is is used on my 2003 F150 Standard Cab Flareside Sport. This cover is an exact replacement for my present Coverking Silverguard Plus from AAG, which is just now becoming a little threadbare after two years of hard use in the hot California sun (300 plus days a year). That's twice the longevity of many of the other quality lighter weight covers that I have used on my other cars for comparison, which I consider excellent service for what this costs. I love the soft fleeced inner layer and the thickness of the cover strikes a balance between weight and protection from dings. My truck sits outside all the time, so many times the cover is on for weeks at a time. It is virtually waterproof and even after heavy rain has little to no water underneath it. I usually just let it dry on the car. Even though it seems really bulky at first, if you need to air dry it in your dryer it will fit and dries quickly with cool air only. I would not recommend washing it in the washer. That is very hard on any car cover. It cleans very easily while on the vehicle. The elastic and weight of the cover holds it down very well even in fairly strong winds and the overall fit is exemplary in my experience. If there is a weakness it is that the elastic will stretch out with time, but that seems to be a common issue with all covers and not unique to this one. I would love to see a side buckle tie down system with straps that pass under the front and rear of the car to anchor it down even tighter, which would make the elastic no longer an issue. Overall, two thumbs up!
