A crew cab truck may give your passengers plenty of room, but you may find yourself frequently maxing out your bed's cargo space. Adding a retracting tonneau cover may give you superior protection, but its bulky canister can limit that bed space even more. Your solution? The quick-removing Pace Edwards Switchblade Tonneau Cover.

Installing the Pace Edwards Switchblade only requires a Phillips head screwdriver, a 7/16" wrench, and a few minutes. When you need every bit of space in your bed, the whole cover removes just as quickly. That means you'll have room for even the biggest cargo loads whenever you need it.

The Switchblade Tonneau Cover boasts Pace Edwards's rugged, exclusive ArmorTek construction. Tough-yet-lightweight aluminum panels are covered with a padded polymer for a soft-tonneau look. The cover's low-profile design also sits flush against your truck bed for sleek style. Best of all, the cover slides open and closed in just seconds, it opens from either side of your bed, and it even includes a full-length pull strap so you can close it up easily.

Give your short bed the cargo coverage and the flexibility you need with the Pace Edwards Switchblade. Backed with a 2-Year Warranty.

I had the same cover on my old truck and loved it... so when buying a new truck I ordered a new same make and model. First thing I noticed was the elimination of the key lock. Now you MUST open the tailgate in order to access the release to retract the cover., so if you are towing a trailer your tail gate can open into the towed trailer while you're fumbling with opening the cover. And when you do open the cover, it no longer locks in the open position every 12" like before so it's either fully closed or unlocked and can move. Then, the worse thing I hate about this, is they for some reason, decided to make the cover panel at the front that hides the rolled up cover is sticking up, a large ugly hump for no reason. The cover, when in the rolled up position, doesn't stick up past the top making this UGLY HUMP unnecessary. My old one was streamlined and flat appearing. Nothing irritates me more than when some idiot engineer make stupid unwanted changes to a great product . So thanks for turning a nice-looking product into something that you should've named SHAMU THE HUMPBACK COVER!!!

Everything I wanted in a bed cover. Safety and security for stuff in the bed. Easy install, spring retracts/rolls into it's own storage canister, single vinyl cover over aluminum slats removable.

I only took a star off of the overall rating because the cover I recieved was not the correct one for my '24 tacoma. The bed on the newer tacomas has a different shape and the kit i got left an open space between the cover and the front bulkhead of the bed. I called Leer and they made it right. Just make certain that when you order they assure you that its for the correct year model of your truck. Besides that the cover looks great and provides the security I was after. The description doesn't say that the cover locks. It actually doesn't but when the tailgate is locked, the pinch latch isn't accessible. So, essentially, it's locked.

Low profile, easy DIY installation, looks good, easy operation, and a reasonable cost. The only changes I would make is adding a built in lock. I am curious how it ages and the long term durability.

Straightforward and easy installation. This is my second one; last one sold with my truck I had for four years and operated and looked just as good as when I first purchased it. Good price for a decent and quality product.

I had a previous Pace Edwards (PE) rollup canister cover, lasted 17 years as I moved it from one truck to another. When I bought my 2024, I wanted to get a new cover instead of transferring the cover to yet another SuperDuty. These covers are nice, 2 reasons I didn't give it a 5 star, the cover is only fully open or fully closed, my previous low end PE cover had an additional rail notch so you could partially close. PE couldn't add an additional rail slot, would basically cost them pennies to add. Second is the instructions, note that this is a simple install, nevertheless PE instructions are poorly illustrated and written, instructions went from step 3 to 5, no step 4, no illustration or mention for the use of the 4 loc washers, and the 5' long sticky seal is not mentioned in the instructions at all, for the high cost PE couldn't rewrite the two page instruction sheet, let alone proof read it. For those in the same situation, the 5' long sponge seal with adhesive is for the front bed lip interfacing with the container lid. My previous cover bought back in 2008 even had this bed lip seal illustrated in that install sheet.
