Install was straightforward and relatively simple. The included instructions were accurate, but additional info from online video was helpful. All parts fit well, although the rearmost mount was about 3/8" lower than the other mounts and required spacers. Also, the 3/8-16 shoulder nuts were missing.

If you are installing on a Ford, don't attempt until you get an M8x1.25 die. Why??? Ford likes to paint the studs that they provide for the mounting brackets. This is the 4th set we have purchased over the years and if they were not good I am either an idiot, or they do a good job. You can question me if you know me, but seriously, they hold up pretty darn good. 1 of our trucks had a guy turn into them. Only a couple of small dings in the running board. The install is really easy once you run the die over the studs. Unless you get a stud that is factory messed up, then it will take you a bit more. The brackets also need to have 1 more long support bar. (Again this isn't my 1st rodeo with these.) We have 3/8" Stainless steel allthread on hand. I just cut a new piece and installed it as needed. Aside from Ford and the bad mounting stud, and the package needing 1 longer support these are very reliable and a good value for the money.

Luverne SlimGrip 5" Running Boards

finally got around to installing. easy to install, perfect fit, not a wide step, but thats what i wanted so that they didnt stick out far to catch on rocks or tree stumps, absolutely perfect. it says its a curt product, i am not surprised ,because my adjustable trailer hitch with the flip over ball was made by them too, and it is quality also. i will recommend these boards to anyone needing a strong slim stepboard.
