The original Solid Fold is one of the most recognizable tonneau covers on the market. With the Solid Fold 2.0 tonneau, Extang took everything great about the original and added some noteworthy improvements.

For starters, the Extang Solid Fold 2nd generation tonneau cover now features dent-resistant polypropylene panels. These 1" thick panels shrug off nasty impacts and are capable of withstanding golf-ball sized hail. Speaking of weather: the new-and-improved cover is equipped with integrated snap-on seals and rubber corners for a watertight fit. The panels are also coated with EnduraShield that stays cooler on hot summer days than the previous iteration.

The bed cover itself is easy to operate and, thanks to the folding design, you have convenient access to your truck bed whenever you need it. Installing this tonneau is a breeze, too. It ships in one piece - no assembly required - and clamps on in minutes with the JawGrip and EZ-Lock Clamp System. The updated version of the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 is proudly made in the USA in Ann Arbor, MI and adds a sleek OEM-style look to any truck. Backed by a 3-Year Warranty.

Adds security to my truck and looks great. Easy to install, keeps the bed and the contents dry in the rain. My 4th Extang cover purchased over the years. Solid product!

This is the second Extang Solid Fold 2.0 that I've purchased. First one was on a Tacoma that I just traded in. Held up well and had only some very minor seepage in the heaviest Arizona monsoon storms. This one is on a new F-150. Perfect fit, looks great. We'll see how it does in the rain but the seal seems tight all around.

Would have only take minutes, but if you have a bed liner it has to come out and that was on 2019 Ford Ranger. The reason for that is the bed has high sides but the section that is against the back of the cab for some reason sits lower so you have to install an adapter piece that makes it even then reinstall the bed liner.

This cover replaced a Bak roll up cover that came apart after 4 years. The installation was a breeze and the cover seems sturdy and looks great. I love how easy it would be to remove if I ever had to. I wish the back latches could be adjusted for tension although I cannot lift the cover at the tailgate. But going 70 mph in a rainstorm, a small amount of water did get into the bed. If I could tighten those latches I think it would solve that issue. Overall very happy with this cover.

I installed it myself (80 yrs old). Once I got it lined up to the bed rails, just a matter of clamping Down each side (2 ea.) The back two clamps are spring loaded, which provides the “security”? So, with the back 2 clamps in place, and the tailgate locked, there is your “secure” load. This product quality looks really good, and am hoping that this unit lasts as long as my 06’ truck. The last “roll-up”, (would never have that again) lasted 11 years, then fell apart.

In 2013 I bought an Extang Trifecta and was impressed with the quality and ease of install and removal. The only thing I did not like was the way it waved some as I was driving down the road. I originally wanted the Extang Solid Fold so decided to spend the extra money and get it for my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I followed all the directions to properly install it paying particular attention not to over tighten the front clamps. The next day after sitting in the sun all day, I noticed two indentation where the front clamps were. I contacted Extang and was extremely impressed with their customer service (some of the best I have ever dealt with) and they sent me a replacement front cab panel. During install after replacing the panel I did not tighten the clamps down as much and do not have the indentation issue. The Tacoma bed liner has a slight height increase on the front bed rail. This does not allow the cover to sit flat so there are areas that water penetrates. Since it does not sit flat it does not look as good as it could because the lines are not clean. I am going to add some weather stripping to even the the whole bed rail, which should help with the seal as well as how it lays on the bed rails. I recommended Extang add a flat bar across the front cab panel to improve the strength to the clamp area and avoid the indentations from forming when clamped down. Overall I am happy with the quality and would recommend the Extang Solid Fold 2.0. It does provide more security than the soft covers and I like the fact that when folded forward I can sit on it without damaging the cover.

I bought my F150 new in 2016 and it came with a soft top tonneau cover at the time. But it had started to show its wear with small tears in the cover. Since I like to carry fishing rods in the bed of my truck, I decided to opt for the solid fold Extang 2.0 cover for added security. It took me almost as much time to take it out of the shipping box as it did for me to install it with a perfect fit.

Limits truck bed space and use as it doesn’t completely fold up. This is a purchase I regret.
